DAY 1: Arrival.

DAY 2 :  IBienvenidos a Esparïa! Arrive in Spain's cosmopolitan capital for a free afternoon.

DAY 3 : MADRID Sightseeing with a local guide shows you the Plaza Mayor and the treasures of the Prado Museum. The afternoon is free to wander through the Puerta del Sol.

DAY 4 : MADRID Journey to Spain's old capital of Toledo. Sightseeing includes the Church of Santo Torrid, the treasures of the Gothic Cathedral and the Medieval Synagogue. Lunch is included today instead of dinner,

DAY 5 : BURGOS Journey this morning to the palace monastery of El Eseorial and the Valley of the Fallen. Continue to Segovia to see the multi story Roman aqueduct, then on to Burgos, the old Castilian capital and the city of El Cid,

DAY 6: BIARRITZ This morning you will see Burgos' Gothic limestone cathedral, the arcaded Plaza Mayor and the lavishly decorated town gate. After sightseeing, continue to the city known for the running of the bulls, Pamplona. Drive northward to the beautiful coast and San SebastiAn before crossing the border to the chic resort of Biarritz.

DAY 7: BIARRITZ Today there is a full day optional excursion to Pau and Lourdes. Home of Jeanne dAlbert, Queen of Navarre, Pau offers magnificent views of the Pyrénées. Continue to Lourdes, famous for its spring that still supplies healing water to the pilgrims who journey to the town. Or, if you wish, choose to enjoy a free day in Biarritz.

DAY 8: LOIRE VALLEY This morning depart for the wine-producing town of Bordeaux. After sightseeing along the Garonne, where you see the Pont de Pierre, board Europe's fastest train, the TGV. Arrive in the beautiful Loire Valley for dinner.

DAY 9: PARIS Visit the impressive châteaux, including Chenonceau, one of the jewels of Renaissance architecture. Continue to Chambord, the incredible hunting lodge built for François I. Drive to Chartres to view the magnificent cathedral and its stained glass windows. Arrive in Paris for dinner.

DAY 10: PARIS A tour with a local guide shows you Paris' monuments-from Notre Dame to the Arc de Triomphe. This afternoon visit Versailles to see the glittering Hall of Mirrors and the spectacular gardens. A boat ride on the Seine is tonight's highlight.

DAY 11: PARIS This morning use your ACIS Walking Tour to discover the beautiful art of the Louvre. Enjoy a free evening, or opt for a hearty Repas Gaulois on the famous lie St. Louis in the heart of old Paris.
